Shareholder Benefits

Ladbrokes Poker Players, from the UK and Ireland, are again being given the chance to win shares in a high-class racehorse. She was bought by our crack team of bloodstock experts at the Goff Orby Million Sales and is scheduled to run in the 2007 Flat Season. All prize money attained will be shared out between shareholders. The more shares you win, the more prize money you receive, and the more selling on fee you get at the end of the year.

The Filly cost €110,000. She was sired by ‘Choisir’, a great sprinter which achieved major success at Royal Ascot in 2003. Choisir broke Ascot's six-furlong record with a scintillating run to win the Golden Jubilee Stakes and the Australian horse landed a Royal Ascot double having also triumphed in the King's Stand Stakes. The dam is 'Break Of Day' by Favorite Trick.

The horse will be aimed at the excellent 2007 Goffs Million two year old race or filly race each with €1,000,000 to the winner, to be held at the Curragh in September. This race is exclusively for horses purchased at the prestigious Goff Orby Sales.

All training fees and other costs for one year are covered by Ladbrokes Poker, and at the end of the promotional period the horse will be sold (around the end of the flat season) – even if it’s the winter favorite for the Derby! Shares in the horse, which includes the value we bought him for plus stable, trainer and vet fees, is $1,000 each and there are 200 shares up for grabs. The value of the shares incorporates Laddies Poker Two's potential stud value, in that when the horse is sold, this potential value will be realized. Breeding rights will not be retained by shareholders post the planned sale of Laddies Poker Two at the end of the 2007 Flat Season. The horse has been named ‘Laddies Poker Two’, after the success of 'Laddies Poker', and will run in Ladbrokes Poker’s famous white silks with red diamonds again.

1st stable update from trainer Jeremy Noseda:

"I am very positive about the filly (Laddies Poker Two), who has done nothing but please me since coming to us. She has been broken in and is now cantering on the Warren Hill polytrack - a training ground in Newmarket where my string do their routine exercise.

She is a strong type of filly and I have also been pleased with her attitude. She has a willing outlook and, all in all, she is doing well at Shalfleet.

She actually appears to be one of my more precocious horses. While it is still early days, as long as she continues to progress in a similar vein, I would hope that she could be ready to run fairly early on.

As I mentioned, though, it is only the start of January at present and there will be plenty of water under the bridge between now and when the Turf season gets underway. But granted our fair share of luck, I’m hopeful that she’ll be the type who we can get going with fairly early on the grass."
