>> Questions about the Network

Q: What is this all about?

a. Ladbrokes Poker has decided to join the Microgaming Poker Network to offer you, our valued customers, more players to play against and even more choice in the games you play.
Q: Will my account details be shared now you have joined the network?

a. We would like to reassure you that Ladbrokes will store your data in a fully secure and protected environment. We will also strictly adhere to the Data Protection Act in relation to your registered details with us. However, please note that in accordance with established procedures, Ladbrokes could be obliged to provide necessary information where this may be connected to the possible prevention and detection of fraud.
Q: If I also have an account with another Microgaming Poker Room, do I have to choose which one I play on?

a. No. Players will be allowed to play on whichever Microgaming Poker Room they wish, allowing for a smooth migration. For more information on rake click here.
Q: Will the rake structure change to reflect the network?

a. No. Our rake structure is already the same as the other operators on the network.
Q: What is a ring fence?

a. A ring fence allows us to control the extent to which our players are exposed to those on the rest of the network. Ladbrokes has, in association with one other leading sports betting site on the network, created a group ring fence in which only ours and their players may partake. This will allow Ladbrokes to ensure that its players can, if so desired, play against Ladbrokes players only, hence protecting them from network sharks and offering them the security and comfort in knowing they are not suddenly facing thousands of new players. (Please see ring fence chart below)

Q: Will your USD tables also be ring fenced with operators on the network?

a. No. The USD tables on Ladbrokes up to $2/$4 NL Holdem will be ring fenced to Ladbrokes only. This means that if you are playing on a USD table up to and including $2/$4 they will only be playing against players who are registered with Ladbrokes
Q: How will the tables above $2/$4 be set up?

a. These tables will face the network as a whole allowing for increased liquidity and game play. All tables facing the network as a whole will be in EUROS.
Q: Will you take on the network Badbeat rules?

a. Yes. This will make the bad beat harder to achieve, but will allow for a greater jackpot and larger payouts for all players participating. The network Badbeat requires quad 8’s to be beaten.
Q: I don't like Networks – why should I stay with Ladbrokes?

a. Although we are joining a network, we have taken this move to further improve site liquidity for our players and to offer more cash games and tournaments. We will still be differentiating ourselves from other operators via product development and promotions. In addition to this we will be actively improving all community aspects of Ladbrokes further solidifying our intent to improve all aspects of Ladbrokes poker for the players.
Q: Are Ladbrokes changing software providers?

a. No. The design of our software will be enhanced to provide a better player experience; however there will be no changes to our software provider.

>> Account and Banking Questions

Q: What will happen to my Ladbrokes Poker account?

a. For most players there will be no change. A small number of players will need to change their Ladbrokes Poker Alias and they will be contacted directly to advise them of the changes they will need to make.
Q: Will I need to create a new account?

a. No. Your account details will remain the same except for a small number of accounts whom will require new aliases. Players will experience no changes in terms of account details and or any current balances.
Q: What happens if I need to create a new Alias?

a. If you are one of the few players that has to change their alias, you will be presented with a new Alias Creation page when you first log in after the upgrade. Just follow the simple on-screen instructions to create your new alias, and then you’re ready to go. If you experience any difficulty, please call our customer services team and they will be more than happy to help.
Q: What will happen to my account balance?

a. Nothing. All player funds and player point balances will remain unaffected.
Q: Will the security of my account be affected?

a. Security will not be affected and in fact we believe that by joining the network we will further improve our security and ability to protect our players from fraudulent activity.
Q: Will there be any change in the currencies used on Ladbrokes poker?

a. Yes. As explained above, we will be introducing EURO tables to the poker site. $USD tables will still also be on offer and players will have the option of which currency table they want to play at.
Q: Does this effect banking?

a. Our banking systems will remain unchanged and the same quick and efficient service will be available. However, your poker ‘wallet’ will now be held and displayed in your local currency that you selected during registration. When you sit down at your chosen poker table (available in either $USD or Euro), an exchange rate will apply and this will be displayed at that time. When you leave the table, that same exchange rate will apply back to your poker 'wallet' so there will be no effect on moving exchange rates. The same is true for tournaments – at the time of buy-in, an exchange rate will be applied from your local currency to the currency of the tournament (either $USD or Euro), and any payouts will be converted back into your local currency at the same rate.

>> In-game Play Questions

Q: What effect does this have on cash games?

a. It will provide you with more choice of tables at all levels of play. In addition to our $USD tables you will also be able to play at Euro tables at all play levels. Play at all tables will count towards your position in our Rake Race Leaderboard.
Q: What effect will this have on tournaments?

a. It will allow us to offer you a greater selection of tournaments combined with larger guarantees. The tournament schedule you will find in the MTT lobby will be a combination of Network tournaments and Ladbrokes exclusive tournaments. Network tournaments and Ladbrokes-own tournaments will be displayed in different colours in the poker lobby so that you can easily distinguish between them. Also, the default currency for MTT’s & STT’s will switch from $USD to Euros.

In the Poker Lobby colour coding is as follows:
Blue - Free play (play money)
Green $ - Cash tables
Green € - Ladbrokes ring fenced
Green tournaments - Ladbrokes only
Black - Cash games/tournaments - Full network

Q: What effect will this have on Casino Games in Poker?

a. There will be no effect on Casino-in-Poker games. Ladbrokes will still offer a competitive range of casino games via the poker client
Q: What will happen to my player notes?

a. They will not be affected – all player notes will be fully migrated with all accounts when we migrate on to the network
Q: Will there by any affect to the speed of game play?

a. No. There will be no change to the mechanics of game play.
Q: How will I know if I am playing against a Ladbrokes player or someone else on the network?

a. You will not be able to tell the difference from 1 player to the next regardless of which operator they belong to. From a players perspective the only difference they will encounter on the tables is more people playing.

>> Questions about Events and Promotions

a. No. We will continue to offer a range of competitive promotions to our players and will focus on rewarding our regular players.
