Hello - my name’s Amy and for the past six years, I have been working in the industry which has included Live reporting from the World Series of Poker in 2006 interviewing everyone from Doyle Brunson to Ron Jeremy, working as a Marketing Exec for a popular affiliate and then in a PR role for another well known Sports Betting and Poker site. I joined Ladbrokes Poker in July 2009 as Marketing Retention Manager.

Back in the day, to supplement my student lifestyle, I discovered poker whilst frequenting the local casino with my buddy, Annabel. We used to head down hoping we could spin up our student loans by playing blackjack but eventually it involved eating our body weight in free tuna sandwiches to make up for our losses.

Soon after I started playing the £5 re-buy tournaments with the locals at the Grosvenor in Newcastle. Nowadays I play live MTT tournaments and now that I’m based near London I usually play at the International (used to be Gutshot) down near Old Street, London - usually the £75, £100 or £300 Freezeouts. My biggest win is when I managed to take down the English Deepstack held at the Luton G Casino winning £25k and a shiny trophy.

So I thought I would take this opportunity to blog some of my play. I can’t promise any exciting action but thought I would keep you posted on my progress which may eventually help me improve on my game in the long run!
