If you want to impress your opponents on your table then why not pull out the hardest trick known to man – ‘The Butterfly’.

The bigger your hands the better, so you small handed folk should skip this.
So simply begin by holding four chips like this, got it?
Place your thumb on the base, just touching the two inside chips.

Now lift those two inner chips up with your thumb and at the same time guide the two outside chips to your pinky.
Now move your ring finger away from your pinky finger so it looks like it does in the picture.
If your hand (minus the bling hopefully) is in a similar shape then you’re doing well, chum.

Right, so if you’re not completely useless you should be this far.
Once you’re confident you can hold both pairs of chips without your middle finger then move it down so it looks like this picture. Your pinky and thumb should be touching the middle finger.

This is where we determine the men from the mice, what it’s all come down too – fanning the chips out.
So get your thumb and slide out the top back chip and at the same time get your pinky and slide the bottom front front and at the same time bring up your middle finger to bring up the two middle chips.
We don’t want you looking like a complete fish so we suggest at least two weeks of practising on your own before you attempt on a table.
