Andreas Hoivold
Andreas Hoivold is a Norwegian pro poker player and the EPT Dortmund '07 winner
Norwegian poker pro Andreas "_Theah_" Hoivold has been playing poker since 2002. Having become a well-known player on the Ladbrokes site, Andreas first came to real prominence in Poker Million V, where he defied the odds to reach the final table and finish a creditable 3rd for $250,000.
Having earnt himself a sponsorship deal on the back of that performance, the extremely likeable Scandinavian follwed it up with a superb victory at the 2007 EPT Dortmund, which netted him a huge $880,000 prize.
Andreas cites Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen as players he respects most on the circuit. His favourite game is Omaha H/L Pot Limit and if he could have one wish it would be to make it legal to play poker in Norway.

There were a record 667 runners in this year’s EPT in Dortmund. A huge number of runners for an EPT, but I always like it when there are so many ...
The tournament started with a record 462 players - a field size that I like. As usual in EPT’s, there are a lot of well known players.
