Ladbrokes Poker Winners!

Time for a double celebration at Ladbrokes Poker, as sponsored players Jeff "Jaffacake" Kimber and Jonas "Nebuchad" Danielsson both picked up big prizes!

On Sunday 17th of January, Jeff Kimber won the Walsall leg of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT), cashing out for a cool £84,000.

Jeff beat a field of 286 other players, including top names on the British scene such as Luke Patten, Julian Thew and Dave Colclough, as well as last year's winner Jerome Bradpiece. Jaffa was one of the big stacks throughout most of the tournament, and he eventually triumphed heads-up against Pete Charalambous after an exciting heads-up which swung back and forth.

Jonas "Nebuchad" Danielsson has won the Scandinavian Online Poker Player of the Year award, beating off competition from Stephan "Delegator" Kjerstad and the legendary Gus Hansen.

What does it mean to win such a prestigious award?
Jonas: "It means a lot in terms of pushing my career forward. It's always nice to get recognition. I'm very happy I won."

What are your goals for the next year?
Jonas: "Next year (if I don't succeed in this year) I hope to be on the High stakes Poker show. That's the main goal for my poker career and it always has been since I started making serious money. It's my dream."

How long have you been playing online poker?
Jonas: "Soon it'll be three years full-time. I first learnt the game four years ago."
