Home sweet home

Back home in Sweden, Strömstad again which feels good. I had to book a new flight as I was still in the tournament but then went out on the first of the days that were left. That really made me tilt and I could do with not getting so disappointed. I got absolutely smashed and felt sorry for myself but that is bygones now. I will continue my holiday at home for at least a month and probably won’t play a single hand of poker until September. Our plan is to sail to Stockholm which usually turns out to be a bit of an adventure. It will be interesting to see whether we make it there safely or sink.

There will be less blogs whilst out sailing. Even less than there already is. Have zero inspiration when it comes to blogging or playing poker and I am hoping sailing for a month will cure this. It usually does me a lot of good.

I’m about to order a longbow. It is legal to use a bow for hunting in Sweden, but there are strict requirements for practising hunting. Not only do you need to pass a hunting examination but you also need to pass a specific examination for hunting with a bow. Imagine sneaking up on a roe deer or a hare and aim at it. Sweat pouring down your face and stinging your eyes. If you as much as blink an eye you might lose focus. Finally, the animal bends down to eat the apples you placed down on the ground with an evil grin on your face. Swoosh! Like an Indian you have to chase the animal and end it’s suffering. Hamarai!
