Day 10
It's a massive day at the World Series of Poker. Under 200 players remain in the 2008 Main Event, and the money is beginning to get very serious indeed. Team Ladbrokes have two players still in the running: Sponsored professional Jeff "Jaffacake" Kimber and two-time Poker Million competitor Peter "Pete4002" Eastgate shoulder the Team's hopes for a final table finisher. The very best of luck to them both.
Whatever happens, this evening will be a quiet one for Team Ladbrokes, as today is the day that the majority of our players heading home to Europe. We wish all our players a safe journey home, and hope that it's au revoir, not adieu!!

Team Ladbrokes entered Day Four with nine players remaining in the tournament, having had a further six players go out 'in the money' towards the end of the previous day's play. Of those nine, two players remain in the tournament going into Day Five: Jeff Kimber and Peter Eastgate.
Danish pro Peter has 690,000 chips, which currently sees him in 85th place in the standings. The table draw for Day Five has not been kind the Peter (or, at least, his ears) as he finds himself three seats from the "Poker Brat" Phil Hellmuth.
Jeff Kimber finds himself as the third biggest stack on his table, which sees him situated on table chippie Mark Vos' big blind. Vos has 1,373,000 chips, but Jeff is not far behind with 987,000 which is currently good enough for 47th in the chip counts.
Team Captain Steve "fivek" Davis, was desperately unlucky to go out during Day Four. Having expertly nursed his relatively short stack, he was able to get his money into the middle pre-flop holding Ac-As. He was called by Hoyt Corkins who held Kx-Kx, and spiked a set on the turn. Trevor "bigTR" Reardon went out after running his pocket nines into Allen Cunningham's Kx-Kx. If you're going to go out, it might as well be to the best...!
It was a fun-filled night for the rest of our players too, as our Ladbrokes Farewell Party took place at the Lucky Strike bowling alley. The party lasted long into the night, so there may be a few sore heads on the trans-atlantic flights today. Hopefully their experience with Team Ladrokes at the World Series of Poker will last long in the memory too! Viva Las Vegas!
