World Series of Poker - Day 3

Day 3

Today is a big day for the Team Ladbrokes contingent. This evening approximately half of our players will be going into battle at the felt, hoping to take the first steps towards the Main Event money.

Team Ladbrokes are aiming to beat the 12 cashees recorded last year, and we wish all our players the best of luck during Day 1C where our entrants include Paddy "treemore" O'Connor, Brian "GirlWonder" Antionotti and European Ladies Championship runner-up Lenna "Onishywa" Martyak.

Yesterday was a quiet day in the Ladbrokes Lounge as everyone tried to avoid bright lights, talking and moving following last night's Welcome Party in the Voodoo Lounge. Apparently it was a great party, but no-one can really remember. Luckily the photos have come out quite well, so there's plenty of evidence with which to piece the evening together.

A couple of players with other things on their mind were Des Wilson and Trevor "bigTR" Reardon who were Team Ladbrokes' pair of entrants in Day 1B. They suffered mixed fortunes, with one player through with 44,000 chips, and one hitting the rail. To find out more, visit Des' Diary.

For those players competing in Day 1D, there was a games night in the Ladbrokes Lounge, where our qualifiers have the chance to take on Steve Davis (who will no doubt be looking to avenge a 2-0 defeat to Labrokes' own Marios) at pool, and past and present World Champs John Part and Colin Lloyd at darts.
