Day 4

Yesterday was a big day for Team Ladbrokes as 49 of our players hit the tables in Day 1C of the Main Event.

There were some big-name casualties as well as some excellent performances, and a sizeable chunk will carrying the Ladbrokes flag into the next day's play.

Today (Day 1D) sees the remaining 68 Team Ladbrokes players entering the fray for their assault at the Big One. Competitors include Louise "emotivator" Duffy, John "yobenike" MaGill and Thomas "Smeagollum" Rasmussen. The very best of luck to one and all.

There were a number of strong showings from Team Ladbrokes players on Day 1C of the Workld Series of Poker Main Event. Peter "peter4002" Eastgate, who famously once knocked Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott out of the Poker Million started well, and pushed his starting stack over 60,000 late in the day. Other Ladbrokes players featuring prominently are Paddy "treemore" O'Connor, Gary "rag2riches" Clarke and Eetu "peteth" Vahvalainen.

There were, of course, a few casualties, including big names Jonas "Nebuchad" Danielsson, Brian "GirlWonder" Antionotti and last year's Main Event final tablist John "skalie" Kalmar.

Away from the Amazon Room, Ian Anderson captured the first Ladbrokes Lounge tournament of the year as some of today's players warmed up for Day 1D.

Other players enjoyed a Jessie "Voice of Poker" May-led helicoptor trip over Vegas. The flights were held up due to a huge firework display over the Strasophere casino! When they did get airborne, there was a malfunction scare resulting in a few shaky players - hopefully their nerves were settled in time to play today by the slap-up Korean dinner they enjoyed afterwards!
