Today is a welcome rest day in the World Series of Poker, so our players will be able to avoid the stress of the Main Event by relaxing in the Ladbrokes Lounge, and, er, playing some more poker probably!

News

It was another fantastic day in the Main Event for Team Ladbrokes, as well over half of our players lived on until Day Two, which starts on Tuesday the 8th of July. A phenomenal eighty out of our 120-strong team can still harbour hopes of a place at November's final table.

There were a number of strong showings on Day 1D, not least from Mohamed "Mohamade" Kowssarie, who is up amongst the chip leaders with nearly 120,000 chips. Johan "Berga" Berg will also be taking over 100,000 chips to his next table.

It was also a good day for a couple of our sponsored pros, as Morten "PokerGirl1" Erlandsen (66,400) and Jeff "Jaffacake" Kimber (42,675) both progressed. Other big names still in include Katherine Hartree, Tim Blake and Paul Jackson.
