World Series of Poker - Day Seven

Day 7

It's a massive day for Team Ladbrokes, as they head back into poker battle on Day 2B of the World Series of Poker 2008 Main Event. 79 of our players, including sponsored pros Jeff "Jaffacake" Kimber and Morten "PokerGirl" Erlandsen and Team Captain Steve "fivek" Davis. A few short-stacked players will have to 'get busy' early on, but there are high hopes that the likes of "Mohamade", "berga" and "peteth" can increase their stacks to get amongst the Day 2B leaders.

Tonight's event is a trip with Jesse May to firing range - hopefully there won't be too many of today's players joining him, as they're too busy playing the Main Event!

It was Jonas Danielsson's big night, as he celebrated signing for Ladbrokes with a party at the renowned Pure nightclub. He was joined by the eleven players that qualified for the WSOP via "Nebuchad's WSOP Rake Race": rincas, The_Derv, kalsen1, JocktheCock, MrKlonkAlot, Xnubabs, Clavelito, Mofflowis, peteth, _JesperP_ and gavinalways.

As well as partying, there was a poker tournament where the players teamed up with a glamourous girl each to compete for a package to the Ladbrokes Irish Poker festival. The lucky winners were Henrik "rincas" Abrahamsson, (who is also going well in the Main Event - what a trip he's having!) and Tony "MrKlonkAlot" Saworth.

Of course, it's not all about the players - the Ladbrokes WSOP package is for two people, after all! - and during the afternoon Jesse May was on hand to lead an expedition to Vegas' numerous designer outlets so the 'Poker WAGS' could shop until they dropped! I'm reliably informed that there will be many a Team Ladbrokes member trying to work out whether a shoe box counts as hand luggage at LAX on their way home!

Finally, this report wouldn't be complete without mention of Trevor "bigTR" Reardon who has successfully negotiated the pitfalls of Day 2A, and has 54,500 chips. Congratulations, Trevor, lets hope everyone else can give you some company on Day Three!
