World Series of Poker - Day Nine

Day 9

It's Day Four at the World Series of Poker, and at the start of play (20:00 BST) Team Ladbrokes will have 10 players competing. Jeff "Jaffacake" Kimber leads the Team Ladbrokes pack, as his stack of 685,000 sees him in 19th place in the overnight standings.

This evening also sees the last of the organised Team Ladbrokes events before the farewell party. All the guys and gals who want a break from railing our remaining players will be off to a bowling alley for the annual Ten pin Challenge!

Well, another year, another record for Team Ladbrokes! Last year we achieved 12 cashes in the Main Event; in 2008 we've managed 15!!! Having started Day Three with over 30 remaining players, some excellent short-stack play saw a number of the team go deep enough into the day to be amongst the 666 whooping players who made the money at 23:30, Vegas time!

Cashees included: Team Captain Steve "fivek" Davis, Trevor "bigTR" Reardon and Kristian "Obbe" Obbarius. A full rundown of the Team Ladbrokes cashees and remaining stacks will appear here shortly onec official chip counts have been provided by Harrahs.

One player very much still in is sponsored pro Jeff "Jaffacake" Kimber, who currently lies 34th with 632,500 chips. He is also in the top five remaining European players. "Obbe" isn't too far behind, as Kristian is sitting very comfortably on over 300,000 chips.

In other news, you'll be glad to learn that today's video has no footage from last night's karaoke. Enthusiastic culprits, er, I mean crooners included John Kalmar and Norman Pace.
