How do you rate yourself as a player (1-10)?

How long have you been playing?
Since my grandmother taught me when I was a kid, but about 18 months seriously

Best Poker moment?
Undoubtedly winning my 2008 WSOP ticket, I plodded along and kept out of trouble until I reached the final table in last position. By the time there were 4 of us left I had a huge chip lead and wound up on the plane to Vegas! I had previously played in several WSOP weekly finals, going one off the plane once and two off another time, winning quite a bit of cash in the process but it aint the same as winning that golden ticket!

Any 'off-line' tourney wins?
Yes

If you play in a local Poker card room, which one?
I play every Wednesday evening with my friends. Also a lot of the country pubs around here have poker tourneys which is pretty good considering our nearest proper poker room is in Newcastle 70 miles away. I have played in the Grosvenor and Aspers in The Toon, and I have to say Aspers is a cracking place to play. More often than not they have dealers for the night which is nice.

Best Poker advice?
Learn about pot odds and how to control them, dont just look at your cards alone, look at the rest of the table, look at your position- its vital, think what can come after your limp. Observe your fellow players betting patterns, concentrate. Multi Table Tournaments are about SURVIVAL until 20% of the field is left, make your moves after that. Pre flop all ins early on in touraments are usually a theoretical mistake but if youre all in and Im holding Aces or getting the correct odds Im calling!

Any comments on Ladbrokes Poker?
I like Laddies over its competitors and there are some excellent tournaments and satellites to big evets like WSOP and the cruise. My favourite thing though are the Single Table Tournaments which fill in an hour nicely.

Which player at Ladbrokes Poker do you most respect and why?
My brother Taffy_P, he introduced me to poker and is accompanying me to Vegas this year much to the dismay of his Mrs, and mine! Also the guys that try for the WSOP weekly final every week- Garetherb, Shawdofax, 1Prophet, all good players that deserve to get to Vegas.
