Ladbrokes Poker's award-winning software is getting something of a facelift. The new table, frame and in-play options bring a host of new functionality to the poker experience.
New Table
As well as a cool new look, the table itself also has a few nifty improvements of it's own:
- The Previous and Current Hand numbers are now displayed.
- When you are seated, available seats are now shown with a small brown place holder. Before you join a table, available seats are shown with a black arrow.
- Your alias and cash balance are displayed next to your Avatar (Yep, you can now select and upload an Avatar image!).
- The pot value is now displayed in the centre of the table.
- Each Player’s bet amount is now displayed next to their chips on the table.
- The rake for each hand is now shown above the frame.
- A link to a new instant Hand History feature is also displayed above the frame.
- The table's new frame includes: Chat, Options, Stats and Casino tabs, Game Play buttons and Best Hand information.
- An arrow moves around the table in the direction of play, indicating the active Player.
- A pie-clock timer is displayed next to the active Player, indicating how much time they have to make their decision and act.
- There are three new buttons available in the top right corner of the table: Menu, Chips and Exit.
New Poker Frame
The new frame consists of three sections:
-
1. Information
2. Game Buttons
3. Best Hand Display
(Note: Players can choose to hide or show the Information and Best Hand Display sections by clicking the adjacent arrow button.)
Information
The Information section consists of four tabs: Chat, Options, Stats and Casino.
| Chat When you position your mouse pointer over the Chat window, it expands upwards. When the mouse pointer is removed from the Chat window, it collapses to fit within the frame. Coloured text is introduced so that you can easily identify chat strings. For example, Dealing the Flop is displayed in black and if a Player wins, the text is displayed in red. | |
| Options The Options tab provides you with quick and easy access to the following options:
| |
| Stats The Stats tab provides you with basic information on your game play. When you click the "Stats" tab, various percentages are displayed, including:
These statistics are cumulative, and the time period that they are calculated for is displayed at the bottom of the window. For more detailed statistics on where you folded, you can click the "More" link. The statistics are displayed in percentages and indicate the number of times a Player folded at specific stages of the game. | |
| Casino The Casino tab provides Players with links to Casino games directly from the new Poker table. When a Player clicks the Casino tab, the window expands and displays available games. |
Game Buttons
The Action buttons, Pre-turn buttons and Bet Slider are now located in the centre of the frame
The Action buttons are displayed with the Bet Slider when applicable. The Bet Slider enables you to manually select the amount that they want to bet by moving the button on the slider to the left or right to increase or decrease the amount respectively. Alternatively, you can select one of the options at the bottom of the slider to bet a specific fraction of the pot, or go all-in.
Best Hand Display
Located in the bottom right of the frame, the Best Hand display indicates a Player’s best possible Poker hand. The Community cards are "greyed out" to distinguish them from the Pocket cards. A Player’s current bet is also displayed.
