How do you rate yourself as a player (1-10)?

How long have you been playing?
I started playing poker back in the 70’s, playing mainly 5/7 Card Stud and 5-Card Draw however, that all changed after I played my first game of Holdem in January 2003… I never looked back after that.

Best Poker moment?
I’ve had a few nice wins over the years but my first ever four-figure MTT return I still consider to be my best moment to date, even though I’ve improved on it since. I’m yet to hit a five-figure win but I’m working on it… watch this space!

Any 'off-line' tourney wins?
Indirectly yes - A friend (DoneDeal21) and I played in a local tournament and agreed to split any winnings. He went on to win it outright... does that count?

If you play in a local Poker card room, which one?
I played a few tournaments in local pubs & clubs but yet to take \'Live\' poker seriously... again, watch this space!

Best Poker advice?
I can only speak as I find and my own game took a turn for the better after reading Lee Jones – Winning Low-Limit Holdem; a very easy-to-read book that covers the basics for anyone starting out in the game. My advice would be to get these basics under your belt and then build your own chosen game around it (tight, loose etc)… I don’t believe I’m qualified to add any more at this time.

Any comments on Ladbrokes Poker?
I am one of those that question online poker in general but until I get some more live experience I have to give it the benefit of doubt. Concerning Ladbrokes I feel they have some very good players on this site, players I can learn from over time. Banking is straightforward and very fast and I’ve also found most of my issues dealt with in a polite and easy manner. One of the better sites imvho.

Which player at Ladbrokes Poker do you most respect and why?
The ladder crew - Good players and good family type atmosphere amongst us all. Excellent banter and newcomers welcomed into the fold.. love it! Gotta mention Hudson cos he's given me a mention but a good player nevertheless and as for the rest of you.. Respect!
