WSOP VIP Weekly Rake Race

From April, in addition to 30% rake back, cash game players will be competing in 11 WSOP VIP Weekly Rake Races for over $300,000 in additional prizes and the chance to party in Las Vegas with poker millionaire Jonas “Nebuchad” Danielsson, Scandinavian Online Poker Player of the Year!

Guaranteed Cash Prizes

Each week, $15,000 in guaranteed cash prizes will be paid to the Top 50 finishers in each of the three levels of WSOP VIP Rake Race, as set out in the table below.

WSOP VIP Freezeout

Each week, the top 100 players at each of the three levels will gain an invitation to the WSOP VIP Freezeout to which Ladbrokes have added a $14,000 Ladbrokes WSOP Package.

The winner of each WSOP VIP Freezeout will be awarded the WSOP package and be invited to join Jonas and the Ladbrokes Team for a VIP night of Las Vegas High Roller entertainment during their stay in Vegas.

The Freezeout will be held every Tuesday at 20:00 GMT from 8th April until 17th June 2008 and have a $10 + $0 buy-in which will be distributed as cash prizes to runners-up. The Freezeout is an invite only tournament which qualifying players will need to join. The tournament will be found in the MTT/ Specials lobby.

WSOP VIP Rake Race Points

You will earn WSOP VIP Rake Race points for each cent you rake at any Hold’em or Omaha cash table, at one of three levels:

3 $2/ $4 and above

Double Point Weekends

You will earn double WSOP VIP Rake Race points for all qualifying play every Saturday and Sunday. Each WSOP VIP Rake Race will run from Monday to Sunday.

    A bit about Nebuchad…

    Jonas “Nebuchad” Danielsson scooped the Best Online Player of the Year award at the 2nd annual Scandinavian Poker Awards in February 2008. Nebuchad beat Gus Hansen and the Norwegian Stephan Kjerstad, known as the Delegator, to the award confirming him as the king of online cash games!

    Nebuchad has been a regular at Ladbrokes Poker over the last 3 years and has online career winnings of over $3,000,000. He started playing in freerolls and STT's and once he gained a bank roll he made the transition to cash tables quickly discovering he had a great talent at 6 seated tables. He started playing at $0.25/ $0.50 and found he did well, so moved up a level to $0.50/ $1. After reading "Supersystem" he took the plunge into the $1/ $2 tables, growing his bankroll steadily. He decided to turn professional full time in April 2005. By this time he was playing at the $15/ $30 tables. He now plays at the very highest stakes and is a formidable force to be reckoned with.

    Only the best and bravest take him on at the tables. As any poker professional he has experienced some very good sessions and some very bad. One of the signs of a truely great player is the ability to keep going through the down swings. He is one of pokers real gentlemen at the tables and proved his legendary status in October 2007 when he took on _Theah_, Pokergirl1, cookiedough, TheSalmon, Mohamade, Blah123, terken89, zupp3_ , Timex and Pokerkong_1 in the Ladbrokes Legends Reunion. Nebuchad eventually finished heads up against cookiedough with $160,625 at the semi final table to go through to the Final. He met terken89 in the final winning his heads up match 3 -1 taking home the prize of $48,000 cash, a $9,000 cruise package and a $2,650 seat at the LEOCOP main event. Not a bad pay day!

    Terms and Conditions

    1. The rake race will run from weekly from 31st March 2008 – 15th June 2008

    2. Only WSOP Rake Race points generated at selected levels in all cash games of No Limit, Fixed Limit and Pot limit for Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo will count towards your position in the respective races.

    3. Players can participate in more than one level.

    4. The top 200 placed players per level will be updated daily by 12 noon GMT for the previous day’s play.

    5. All players are included unless they choose to self exclude. Should a player wish to self exclude please send an email to highhand@ladbrokespoker.com with the title RACE UNSUBSCRIBE. Players must email from the email address registered with Ladbrokes.

    6. If a player self excludes they will not be eligible to receive any prize associated with this promotion.

    7. Prize money will be paid into winners accounts within 48 hours of the end of the promotion.

    9. Team play is not permitted. Should evidence arise that more than one person has played on an account the account will be excluded from this and future promotions.

    10. All qualifying players will be pre-registered to the WSOP tournament. The tournament will be a $10 No Limit Hold’em Freezeout with 3000 starting chips and 15 minute blinds. The tournaments will be played weekly from Tuesday 8th April until Tuesday 17th June at 20:00 GMT

    11. Should a player finish in the top 100 or in more than one level only one entry will be granted to the final tournament.

    12. The WSOP package is not transferable unless the player is under 21 years old.

    13. The promoter reserves the right to modify, alter, discontinue or terminate this promotion at any time for any reason whatsoever without notice to players, using reasonable efforts to provide such notice in advance The minimum age for Ladbrokes online participation is 18 years of age.
