Nebuchad - Moving to Luxor...
Monday 23 Jun 2008
I have played a 1.5k event and a 2k event since last but I busted pretty quick in both. Not much to say about those. I have also played a little cash since last time but I haven’t won anything big. Tomorrow I plan to play a real cash game session live. The reason is that I owe a friend some money and as soon as I have won that money I will do something else, like eating sushi.
I have just discovered how good sushi really is:). It’s so amazingly good, damn! I can get real cravings for sushi, much like the cravings you can get for a pizza the morning after a good party:). Sushi is so sick nice!
Today we are going to se Le Reve (Cirque de Soleil) at the Wynn for the first time and they have an excellent sushi restaurant there, which we will start the night with. Denise is slowly learning to appreciate sushi as well, or at least I am trying to get here there, lol. She is not a big fan of fish but she thinks its okay. Le Reve is supposed to be really good and I really look forward to it. During last week we have also seen Phantom of the Opera and the blue man group. I actually fell asleep during the Phantom of the Opera but Denise said it was really fantastic. From what I saw I thought it was good but you get so tired in your head because of all the high singing. I can’t say I recommend it, it’s beautiful but its impossible to stay awake.
The blue man group however was really good and funny:). I can definitely recommend that one. I think it was really cool. Nice effects and sound. They can entertain for sure!
Next event I play is a 1k re-buy event (which probably is a waste of time since I only have 2 re-buys). The most interesting event that is left and where my biggest chances lie is the 5k 6-handed event the 26th June. Lets hope we can get lucky one time:).
We decided to try another hotel after staying 20 days at the Bellagio. We thought Luxor looked nice after looking at their webpage, but I can say that it’s a really bad hotel. I don’t know if I have gotten to comfortable with high standards or what it is but it feels like a second grade hotel. In my opinion they spent all the money on the exterior of the hotel and none of the money inside. The elevators are in dire need of service. I think there are two out of four elevators working in our tower. Every time you have to share the elevator with max amount of people. Sometimes you have to wait for the next one and of top of it all you don’t know if the elevator is going up or down. You have to ask the people inside it before you enter, lol! Is that a joke or what?! I wonder who manages this hotel… .I mean the hotel has potential but it is managed so badly. I am 100% sure that a handicapped man like myself could run it better. Sick!
