The site for Poker Million – Ladbrokes and Barry Hearn’s Matchroom Sport have a Joint Venture called “Poker Million” which is Europe’s most famous Poker Tournament, covered on Sky Sports. After the success of the first Ladbrokes Poker Cruise, Ladbrokes Poker charted the entire ultra-luxury Zenith cruise ship for a breathtaking Eastern Caribbean cruise. Ladbrokes Poker flew 600 players to Miami for a 9 night Caribbean Poker Cruise for 2 persons, including meals and entertainment, and $5,500 entry into the No Limit freeze-out tournament on board the ship where the winner 'norflush' collected $725,000 from a total prizepool of $3,300,000. LEOCOP
The inaugural Ladbrokes European Online Championship of Poker was held in 2005 from the 24th April – 1st May, and proved to be Europe’s No.1 online poker event. With seven events and a combined prize pool of over $2,000,000 some 10,000 aspiring poker players entered last year’s online satellite qualifiers and over 2,000 players participated in the seven LEOCOP event tournaments. The Main Event prize pool peaked at massive $1,065,000 – with Scarborough born catering manager Alistair Lane winning a whopping $266,250 from a mere $3 stake. During 2006, Graham "Grazza" Newman was champion, winning $230,000! Qualification for LEOCOP III begins on the 1st of August 2007!
